We support many children in the care system for Havering, and I collaborate with Virtual school. I also have other boroughs contact me for the children in local schools, not just Havering but Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham. This work is funded by Virtual school and the schools obtain the funding via the PEP’s (Personal Educational Plan). We also attend various professional meetings or TAF’s (Team Around the Family) or TAC (Team Around the Child) meetings and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support the children and the systems around them. 

We also offer counselling in schools for those children that may not be CIC (Children In Care), but may still need support, whether they are SEN (Social Emotional Needs), CP (Child Protection), or CIN (Child In Need). Some children may not fit any of those categories but require support for their emotional regulation.

We also offer Clinical Supervision to School teams to support them with any safeguarding and provide coping strategies and interventions to support the children in their care. For futher information refer to the clinical supervision page.
